My job here is reading the evidence so you don't have to: RTINGS lab reviews, Projector Central, Tom's Guide, Engadget, The Smart Home Hookup's budget tests, and the listings themselves. I don't own a lab and I don't pretend the picks come from my living room.

What I do bring is a method. Every projector gets the same five checks, every brightness number gets labeled with how far to trust it, and a projector only makes the list if nothing cheaper in the data does its job better. When a listing's price looks wrong, it's hidden rather than guessed at.
